Hear me out.
The reason why Damon can have ANY influence on what Elena does is b/c she has real, human feelings for him…and so…she “has” to do what he wants…I mean…look at the wording that Damon used.
“Turn it off. Just turn it off. It’s what I want you to do.”
Soo…she does. Emotions/Humanity…gone.
Where does that leave the sire bond? I mean…let’s say he directly commands her to do something now…but why would she follow through?
She has no human emotions for Damon anymore. Her humanity is off…she doesn’t care what Damon’s wants are.
Right now…she doesn’t care about anything.
And what if that’s what breaks the sire bond?
That’d be…diabolically BRILLIANT.
